God+You+Me are Pieces of the Puzzle, working together, to share the Good News with others!

Matt. 28:19&20~"Go, make disciples of ALL the nations ~ teach them to obey all the commands I have given..."

Our response to His command can be only one of 3: to Go, to Send Others, or to Disobey. (John Piper)

In the spring of 2010, I spent 7 weeks in Oaxaca, Mexico, as a volunteer teacher at a school for children of missionaries. God opened the door for me to return for the 2010-2011 school year.

If you click on posts from January - March of 2010, you'll see posts on the lessons I'm learning on patience & vision.

Posts from April 2010 - June of 2011, are about daily life in Oaxaca,
including pictures of the food, the people, & the most memorable moments of my experience.

Choosing To Count His Blessings!

From January 24, 2011

Dear Lord,
Thank you for cold showers, instead of not having enough water to shower. Many of my missionary friends do not have enough water. They are rationing what they have by not flushing as often & not showering as often. They have to shower at the homes of others who have enough water, or in the cold shower at school, or in the showers of the local gym… So, even though I don’t have any gas right now to be able to take a warm shower, I am truly thankful that I have enough water!
Thank you for a refrigerator and food in the cupboards, even though I haven’t had gas to cook with for several days!
Thank you for getting me to and from school SAFELY all alone! Even though it costs a bunch of money to get there quickly in the taxi and takes an hour to get back affordably on the bus…I’m just so thankful for Your protection over me as I travel to & from every day!
Choosing to Count Your Blessings,
Jenn <><
