God+You+Me are Pieces of the Puzzle, working together, to share the Good News with others!

Matt. 28:19&20~"Go, make disciples of ALL the nations ~ teach them to obey all the commands I have given..."

Our response to His command can be only one of 3: to Go, to Send Others, or to Disobey. (John Piper)

In the spring of 2010, I spent 7 weeks in Oaxaca, Mexico, as a volunteer teacher at a school for children of missionaries. God opened the door for me to return for the 2010-2011 school year.

If you click on posts from January - March of 2010, you'll see posts on the lessons I'm learning on patience & vision.

Posts from April 2010 - June of 2011, are about daily life in Oaxaca,
including pictures of the food, the people, & the most memorable moments of my experience.

Monte Alban Archeological Ruins (with Amber)

From Sunday, January 16, 2011
After church, Amber & I planned to go to Monte Alban archeological ruins. I had been there back in June, but I was excited to experience it again with someone who’d never seen it. I’d invited a couple of the other teachers from school. They did go with us, but they also brought 2 teens & hung out with them the whole afternoon. So, Amber & I explored together. Here are a couple of pictures of the views that day:

These are the steps I climbed.
This is me (my sneakers) sitting at the top of the steps & looking down.
The ride from Monte Alban back to downtown was quite interesting! The bus was so packed I had to stand in the middle aisle for 15 minutes, as it weaved its way back down the mountain.
