In the spring of 2010, I spent 7 weeks in Oaxaca, Mexico, as a volunteer teacher at a school for children of missionaries. God opened the door for me to return for the 2010-2011 school year.

Chivalry is Still Alive in Oaxaca!

I SO appreciate the chivalrous, gentlemanly men that apparently ARE still out there!

Several times this week, the men of Oaxaca have held open doors for me, allowed me to go first, & even opened car doors & mototaxi doors for me!

One young man got up out of his seat on the bus & stood for about 10 minutes, so I could sit down with my heavy backpack.

The thoughtful courtesy I am seeing here in Oaxaca, from men of all ages, just makes my heart smile!
